THE QUEST for Innovation was a success! Despite the drizzle on Friday Oct. 9th, the event kicked-off enthusiastically from City Hall Plaza sending over 100 teams dashing all over the financial district in pursuit of a victory! Teams were fiercely competitive, but the team prevere9 of Dart Boston emerged as the champion!
THE QUEST for Innovation successfully brought together the New England innovation economy to celebrate a heritage of entrepreneurship and innovative advances in Boston. Participating teams competed in a high-tech, city-wide scavenger hunt that took place through downtown Boston. The hunt was played entirely over mobile devices and teams were challenged to use their wits, skills and stamina as they trekked across the city on a specially designed “gameboard” highlighting Boston’s fascinating heritage of innovation, working together to decipher clues and solve challenges.
THE QUEST involved teams of entrepreneurial leaders & startups, universities & industry associations, leading service firms and other entrepreneurial organizations from the greater Boston area for an afternoon of adventure, excitement, celebration, relationship building and goodwill.
The diverse collection of teams reconvened at Felt for THE QUEST after party where a healthy amount of networking and clue trash-talking took place before the winner was announced. In the end, all participants and supporters walked away as winners because proceeds generated from THE QUEST are being used to help assist not-for-profit organizations and local university programs focused on enhancing entrepreneurship in the region.
